JOHN BEATTY

Director of Engineering & Certification

Mr. John Beatty is a 24+ year veteran of the aviation industry. He started his aviation career as a FAA airframe & powerplant technician, attaining inspector authorization. After deciding to seek new challenges he transitioned to engineering where he has held mid-level to upper management positions at several aviation engineering firms.

John is a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for the FAA. He has held this delegation since 2006. He has been involved in managing and making compliance finding for over hundreds of STC programs, PMA Approvals, DER Major Alteration Approvals, and DER Major Repair Approvals. As a DER he has also assisted several applicants in showing compliance for TSO Approvals.

John received a B.S. in Aeronautical Technology, B.S. in Engineering, and M.S. in Engineering Management.
